In November 1996 the Danish Working Environment Council decided to monitor the progress of Action Programme for a Clean Working Environment 2005 with particular focus on monitoring the development in the seven vision areas: - Fatal accidents and other serious accidents caused by working environment factors
- Work-related exposure to carcinogenic chemical substances and work-related brain damage caused by exposure to organic solvents or heavy metals
- Injuries sustained by children and adolescents as a result of working environment factors
- Injuries caused by heavy lifting and work-related illnesses as a result of monotonous repetitive work
- Health injuries caused by psychosocial risk factors in the workplace
- Diseases or serious problems caused by poor indoor climate in the workplace
- Hearing damage caused by noise in the workplace.
Therefore detailed analyses are conducted each year with regard to a number of indicators of the development in the seven areas. These indicators show the current level and, at the same time, form the basis of any adjustments in the activities in case there are indications of unintended development.
The development in the seven vision areas are described on the basis of a data model comprised of three pillars: - The first pillar is based on information on exposures and health conditions in the working environment
- The second pillar centres on the preventive working environment activities undertaken by the enterprises
- The third pillar centres on the preventive activities of working environment professionals.
The analysis findings are presented in the annual monitoring report of development trends in the working environment for the seven visions set out in the Action Programme for a Clean Working Environment 2005. |
